Ik ben van plan voor het downloaden van Mandriva Linux, en ik vroeg me af welke "cross-over"-software te downloaden. Ik zat te denken over de trant van: CrossOver, Cedega en Wine. Ik wil voor de installatie van Microsoft Office, en misschien MSN Live Messenger (indien het mogelijk is).
Ik had een blik op screenshots en het lijkt erop dat ubuntu, maar kan iemand mij op de hoogte wordt gehouden alstublieft. en waarom toen ging ik naar deze site staat er nu een download i 9 cd (iso's) of een dvd-schijf heb ik gekozen voor de dvd-schijf, maar Ubuntu, Mandriva en alle anderen behoeven slechts 1 disc? http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora Hoe dan ook alle info zullen groot zijn, maar eigenlijk wil weten of haar graag ubuntu (dwz worden er gebruikt sudo-commando's te installeren dingen als ubuntu etc) Bij voorbaat dank mensen al mijn spul is zo via via vt82xx geluid via de bestuurder en 9 voor chroom graphics als dat helpt. toomuchgeek weet je dat als de bovenstaande drivers zijn goed op fedora als mijn notebook is hi-grade va250d
Ik heb een Compaq Presario laptop met Microsoft Windows XP. Onlangs i nstalled Mandriva Linux op een aparte partitie. nu het probleem wordt wenever i proberen te herstellen, Linux parttion door te formatteren met behulp van partition magic mijn master boot record wordt beschadigd en de volgende keer als ik mijn laptop reboot zal het niet meer opstarten. Ik probeerde winows XP opnieuw te installeren op mijn laptop het niet heeft geholpen het geeft een foutmelding waarin staat dat het niet kan vinden met harde schijf op de computer. Wat moet ik doen im in de knel. Maar als ik opstarten via een linux cd erkent zij dat de harde disk.and installeren van de bootloader Ik kan acess de windows partitie.

Nu dat ik heb gedownload van de "Mandriva" Ik wil installeren, maar in dezelfde tijd dat ik wil mijn Vista. Ik wil werken met beide OS, maar ik vergat hoe de computer op te splitsen in twee delen:)) Kunt u mij helpen plz?

–If someone is a Linux user and is a graphic designer please help me choose the best from linux? Would one of these work fine? (Mandriva, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Fedora) 6.06 (since they are free! or so I heard!) I heard Fedora is out of this world, is it? I just want the best not the easiest to use.
I want something that won’t give me hard time working on any graphics and web designing program.
Any suggestions will be really appreciated. Adobe Photoshop for example as I heard the Red Hat has problems with it. I don’t know if this is true.

–I’m using DSL and the place I get the service from uses Windows XP, If I switch to some Linux OS would that cut me off the service? What should I do?
– I mainly need the graphics and web design programs, skype, MS Office. Any help make those work or replacements if they won’t?
I wasn’t going to get rid of Windows before I get used to Linux, I was thinking if I have Windows on C: I may install Linux on say D: or any other partition, is this a good idea?
