I have the mandriva 2006 discovery official version (the paid beginner’s version) In the devices folder, it contains, (among other things) the windows 2000 PRO partition, allowing me to access files…music…whatever and use it in Linux.
Problem is, that it will not let me WRITE to the windows partition. I can drag files from Windows to …say the Linux desktop, but not drag and drop to the windows device.
I tried to go in under root and change the permissions, but to no avail. (yet it says that root owns the folder.)
The windows hard drive is a FAT32 partition (by choice, as opposed to NTFS to acomodate win 98SE file sharing)
The Linux hard drive partition is ReiserFS If this makes a diffrence.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Note: I am not going back to windows xp as a main OS due to poor security, among other things. Please do not suggest I return to windows.
